Electrical Switchboard Draftsperson

DEEN Solutions (Pvt) Ltd is a fast-growing engineering services company providing back-office technical support to leading electrical switchboard manufacturers, primarily in the Australian market. Our expertise spans low voltage (LV) switchboard design, estimation, 2D/3D drafting, and CAD automation. We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Switchboard Draftsperson to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D shop drawings for LV switchboards, including MSB, MDB, DBs, and meter panels
• Develop General Arrangement (GA), Single Line Diagrams (SLD), and schematic drawings
• Interpret project specifications, electrical drawings, and client requirements
• Ensure designs comply with relevant standards such as AS/NZS and IEC
• Coordinate with estimation and engineering teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency
• Revise drawings based on internal reviews and client feedback
• Maintain proper documentation and drawing version control

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 2-4 years of experience in LV switchboard drafting or design
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD; AutoCAD Electrical is an advantage
• Familiarity with Australian standards including AS/NZS 61439 and AS/NZS 3000 is highly desirable
• Good understanding of switchboard components such as MCCBs, ACBs, RCBOs, and metering
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

Nice to Have

• Experience with 3D tools such as SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor
• Exposure to estimation or panel manufacturing processes
• Experience working with international clients, especially Australia
